Hello, have a quick question and seem to be having trouble finding a pre-existing answer for it, so here it goes:
Revolvers have a 20ft range increment and point blank shot says that it gives a +1 to ATT/DMG on ranged attacks up to 30ft. Pretty straight forward I should think.
So if I have a level 9 gunslinger, +5 dex, +1 revolver with point blank shot, my attack bonuses should be +16/+11 at both 20 and 30 feet? I mean that's what point blank shot does, right?
I'm not missing/forgetting anything am I? I'm prone to do that.
yes that's how it works pbs has nothing to do with range increments all it cares about is if the attack is with in 30 feet
That's what I thought. Thanks!

You still take a -2 penalty to attack rolls for each range increment beyond the first.
Your attack bonus is:
+16 at a target up to 20 feet away,
+14 at a target up to 30 feet away,
+13 at a target up to 40 feet away,
+11 at a target up to 60 feet away,
+9 at a target up to 80 feet away,
+7 at a target up to 100 feet away,
+5 at a target up to 120 feet away,
+3 at a target up to 140 feet away,
+1 at a target up to 160 feet away,
-1 at a target up to 180 feet away,
-3 at a target up to 200 feet away,
You cannot shoot a target more than 10 range increments away.
huh. Well if that's the way it works, that's the way it works. Just seems like that negates how point blank shot is worded to work. :/
No, PBS says it give you a +1 to hit and damage with ranged weapons at targets up to 30' away. It never mentions ranged increments, because it never changes those rules.

No mention of increments there at all--just bonuses to hit and damage when the target is within thirty feet.

Also, you're going against Touch AC at 20 feet and normal AC at 30 feet.

The OP specified a revolver, which is an advanced firearm. That is a touch attack within the first 5 increments.
Ah, missed that bit. Ignore previous post in this case then

I guess my interpretation of how PBS works was just really poor. I thought it implied that it made any ranged weapon's first range increment 30ft, ignoring anything lesser, allowing for the highest possible attack bonus at that range.
I'm used to a ranger with a bow and that's what the feat feels like it's doing for me (which is why I interpreted it as such) but gunslingers are still new to me so I'm trying to figure them out.
